With 25 foot-long necks and flippers the size of cars, the elasmasaurus is one of our favorite Cretaceous period creatures. The elasmosaurus is actually not a dinosaur, it's a Plesiosaur, an early reptile. Our son lovingly refers to it as 'the long necks of the sea'.
